She also composed another dance ballet for Balanandam . The ballet is GIRIJA KALYANAM, penned by her mother.
At a very young age, she could identify swaras and ragas effortlessly. Won many prizes in many competitions conducted by esteemed Organisations like SICA and Kalasagaram etc. She is a graded artiste in AIR and Doordarshan.
Learnt Carnatic vocal music from Smt. Revathi Ratnaswamy garu and Prof. Sri S.K. Venkatachary garu. Assisted her father in many recordings and live performances and gained knowledge concerning western orchestration using Indian ragas. A trained vocalist, singer, Music composer, and a teacher too.
Composed many Lalita geetalu and Annamayya sankeerthanalu. Also performed in "Naada Neerajanam", in TTD channel, a program that promotes Indian art & Music.
Also participated in Paaduta Theeyaga. Released "Annamayya pada Sumarchana" in May 2021, a devotional album, as an offering to the lotus feet of Lord Venkateswara.

Amrutha Mahabhashyam is not just a singer, she is an excellent music composer too. Her first ever composition was at the age of 10. Since then , she had been composing light music songs written by her mother Smt M.Padmini Devi. Her first ever composition of annamacharya sankeerthana was at the age of 18. Her two elder sisters who also were singers , Vijayalakshmi and Vandana Devi, encouraged her a lot. At the age of 18, she composed’ Pasidi Akshatalive’, an annamacharya sankeertana , which was popularised by her eldest sister, Smt Vijayalakshmi.
Amrutha Mahabhashyam loves taking up challenging work. Her first ever Symphony with Veena album , regarding the story of Prahlada, composed for Smt. Radha Mythili garu, who is a veena exponent , was a huge hit. Later, she composed music for ‘Prahlada Vijayam’, a dance ballet composed for the diamond jubilee celebrations of BALANANDAM with the encouragement of Smt .J.Kameshwari Prasad. This ballet was penned by her mother Smt M.Padmini Devi.
